Some Questions You May Have About CBD

Is CBD oil the same as hemp oil?

No. Hemp oil also comes from hemp and is used in many foods and health and beauty products, however, it does not contain CBD and has not been found to have any medicinal value. Many CBD companies, including ours, use the term "hemp extract" due to government constraints. If you are on a site and are not sure if the products actually contain CBD, ask for the lab reports. (Buyer Beware: You will see "hemp oil" products on Amazon. These products have ZERO CBD.)

Is CBD legal?

The question is often asked, “Is CBD legal in all 50 states?” CBD from marijuana is illegal in most states, however, because we use hemp-derived CBD, all of our products are legal in all 50 states and in 45 countries.

Does Revive Hemp ship internationally?

Yes. We currently ship our organic CBD products internationally, but on a case by case basis. Please contact us directly to see if we ship to your country.

Does CBD have side effects?

CBD can interact with the effectiveness of some medications, however, CBD itself has no known adverse side effects. It is always recommended you check with your doctor before taking any dietary supplements, including CBD. We highly recommend ProjectCBD.org as a reference for researching CBD and its effect on illnesses, and its interactions with medications.

What exactly could CBD potentially help with?

We recommend ProjectCBD.org as an excellent source of nonbiased information, clinical trial results, scientist and physician opinions, and drug interaction reporting.

Are there differences in the CBD companies sell?

Yes. CBD oil is not currently regulated. Most of the CBD sold in the U.S. comes from overseas, much of it grown in China. Hemp is a natural soil cleaner, meaning it will take metals, toxins, pesticides, and other pathogens out of the dirt it is planted in. These substances end up in the processed oils and isolate. Yuk! In addition, several companies (2015 warning letters) (2016 warning letters) have been reprimanded by the FDA for saying a product has a certain amount of CBD, and when tested, the product did not contain what the label claimed.

"God knows what toxins are in the hemp processed in countries like China or Romania, which don’t have the same laws about pesticide use that we have,” says Dr. Ethan Russo, a neurologist, ethnobotanist, and one of America’s leading researchers into medical cannabis. “I don’t trust any of it and I don’t think anyone else should either.”

Reputable and safe CBD companies will always be (1) EASY to contact via phone and (2) provide current lab test results when you request them. Don't take CBD without knowing where it came from, and what the lab results are. Our CBD oil and isolate comes from an organic Colorado hemp farm. We stand behind every product, guaranteeing the purity, potency, and safety of our CBD content.

Which product should I buy?

This is entirely up to you. Do the research so you are able to make an informed choice. We can offer some very BASIC guidelines: CBD Isolate Crystal has ZERO THC and is the only choice if you are drug-tested.  Full Spectrum Oil is thought to be the most beneficial form of CBD, as it contains not only CBD but also other cannabinoids and terpenes which benefit the body.

How much should I take?

You cannot overdose on CBD, but similar to Vitamin C, if you take too much, it passes through you. Start small. We recommend you research CBD online with regard to your specific needs, then use the same dose and ratio for several days. Observe the effects and adjust the ratio or amount until you see results.

Who can take CBD?

While we cannot give advice on who can take CBD, we can share that our customers consist of adults of all ages, children, and pets.

Will I fail a drug test?

You should not fail a drug test using our isolate products, as there is ZERO THC in these products. Our Full Spectrum Oil products have less than .3% THC, and are therefore legal in all 50 states, however, because there is a trace amount of THC, you might fail a drug test. If you have a concern, it is best to advise your employer that you are taking CBD.

How do I store CBD and when does CBD expire?

Store CBD in a cool, dark place. Most CBD products will last up to 12 months if stored properly. It is okay to refrigerate CBD, as long as the cap or lid is on tightly, and CBD will usually last 18 months if refrigerated.
